Our Beliefs

We are a part of the global Church of the Nazarene and together we agree on these Statements of Belief:

• We believe in one  God who exists as three persons – Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.  God created us, loves us and invites us into a relationship with Him.
• We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired word.  Both the Old and New Testaments teach us everything we need to know about how to trust god and live faithfully.
• We believe everyone is born with a tendency toward sin and selfishness. Without God’s grace, we are separated from Him. Those who refuse His forgiveness remain apart from Him forever.
• We believe Jesus’ death and resurrection make forgiveness and new life possible for everyone.  When we turn from sin and trust Him, we are forgiven, made new, and set free from sin’s power.
• We believe that after coming to faith, God calls us to grow deeper in His grace – to live holy lives filled with love, purity, and obedience, made possible by His Spirit.
• We believe the Holy Spirit assures us that we belong to God and continues to transform us, guiding and empowering us to live more like Jesus.
• We believe communion is a sacred way to remember Jesus’ sacrifice. It strengthens our faith and reminds us we belong to Him.
• We believe  that one day Jesus will return.  God will raise the dead, bring justice, and make all things new – restoring creation to His perfect design.
